Are you a licensed and Insured Carrier?
We are a fully licensed and insured commercial carrier. We can legally operate throughout Canada and the United States. ICC MC433474 USDOT 1032824

Does this insurance cover my horse in the event of an accident?
Commercial Carriers typically do not insure your horse for the full value of it. Our insurance will cover the value of your horse up to $2,500CDN. We strongly recommend that you acquire your own insurance prior to the trip.

What documents and information do I need to provide for the border?
All horses crossing the U.S./Canada border need a valid test for Equine Infectious Anemia (Coggins) and a current health certificate endorsed and stamped by Agriculture Canada or the Federal Department of Agriculture (USDA). The coggins test is good for 6 months travelling into the United States and 180 days travelling into Canada. Health Certificates are good for 30 days after endorsement by the Veterinary Practitioner (not the Federal Vet).

In addition to exact delivery address, horses entering the United States need the person receiving the horse to provide a corporate tax ID or Social Security number for US Customs.

Is there anything I should do to get my horse ready?
We recommend you read the following article by the Ontario Government www.omafra.gov.on.ca/english/livestock/horses/facts/info_trailering.htm

What can I send with my horse?
All horses must have a halter in good repair and enough hay for the journey. The trucks have room for some equipment but please confirm with our dispatch if the equipment you are planning to send will fit.

General Purpose medications in their original containers are generally OK. Prescription medication must be in original containers and accompanied by a letter from your Veterinarian.
